What is umass amherst womens lacrosse?

The UMass Amherst women's lacrosse team is a NCAA Division I program that competes in the Atlantic 10 conference. The team has been in existence since 1979 and has made four appearances in the NCAA tournament. The team is led by head coach Angela McMahon and plays their home games at Garber Field. Notable alumni of the program include Eileen McDonald, who was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame, and Jackie Lyons, who holds the program record for career goals.
